Advent & Christmas at Kyle UMC

We gather for worship on Sundays at 9 and 11 am. During the season of Advent, we are lighting the candles of the Advent wreath, gathering gifts to share in the community and beyond, and learning about how we can give better gifts – the gifts of hospitality, creativity, story, and song.

Our monthly dinner church continues this month on Wednesday, December 15 with serving between 5:30 and 7pm in the Family Life Center. We have invited the congregation of El Buen Pastor church to share the tradition of Las Posadas with us.

Sunday, December 19th will be a special day. We will have an Advent service with special music at 9am, and then welcome the children for a Happy Birthday Jesus Party at 10am. All children in attendance will be invited to participate in a Children’s Christmas Pageant at 11am where they will get to retell the story.

Our offerings for Christmas Eve Worship include two quiet services in the Sanctuary, 3 and 7 pm, and a special outdoor Christmas Eve Worship with music around the Firepit at sunset (5:30 pm).

On the Sunday after Christmas, we will have casual services at 9 and 11 am with coffee and potluck brunch in between.
