Rev. Kallie Green, Pastor
Pastor Kallie grew up in South Austin. She had her call to ministry when she was in high school and has served a variety of churches in a variety of capacities since then. Her undergraduate degree is in Chemistry from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Her Master of Divinity is from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.
As a pastor, she has served at Lakehills UMC, a two-point charge at First UMC of Cuero and Rabke UMC, and served as the Family Discipleship Pastor at Tarrytown UMC. Her ministry has looked different at each of these churches, but a common thread is her love for helping people of all ages find meaningful ways to worship, grow, and serve together.
Her husband, David Schmersal, is a theological librarian who works at the Wright Learning and Information Center at Austin Seminary as the Access and Instruction Librarian. Their son, Isaac, is a sophomore who enjoys band and electronics. They also have a dog and a cat. As a family they enjoy cooking, baking, art, music, and camping.
