Children & Youth

Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry at Kyle United Methodist Church recognizes that all children are blessings from God. We have many programs for our little ones– such as Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Nursery Care and Children’s Fellowship events.

Youth Ministry

At Kyle United Methodist Church, Youth grades 6-12 gather together for bible study on Sunday mornings, Youth Nights on Sunday evenings and to become involved in aspects of worship, serving alongside adults and leading the younger children. We have special events and retreats throughout the year and offer Confirmation classes in the spring.

Youth Group meets every other Sunday from 6-8pm. Check the newsletter or church calendar for more information!

Sunday School

Join us for Sunday School every Sunday at 10:00am . We currently meet in the Family Life Center for Children’s Sunday School and in the Youth Room for Youth Sunday School. Masks and distancing are required at this time.

Children in church? Yes, please!

What if they get fussy, or are loud, or even start crying?

When you are here, the church is filled with a beautiful, joyful noise, and we would not trade that for all the silence in the world. It might not seem that way in the moment, you might even feel like everyone is looking at you, but the presence of children in the church (regardless of whether they are quiet or loud) reminds us that worship is not about quiet contemplation and ceremony, but coming together as a community to share in the grace of God. They might not get it fully right now, but you’re helping to build a relationship between them and God, and that’s a good thing.

Can my children participate in service?

There is a designated children’s message time just before the sermon. During that time we normally breakdown the message of the sermon in a way that children can better understand. All children (young and old) are invited to come up and participate in this part of the service.

Where is the nursery?

All of our classrooms (including the nursery) are in the Family Life Center. If you enter the church through the Fellowship hall, it is the building across from the playground.

  • Due to COVID, we are currently not offering nursery services but the nursery is available to you for nursing, changing and if your little one just needs a minute of quiet.
