Dear Church,
We will have NO services or Sunday school tomorrow at 9AM, 10AM or 11AM (1/25/2026) due to the forecasted ice tonight and early tomorrow morning.
Below you will find a link to a special page on our website. On that page you will find (in this order)
- A prerecorded service that you can watch from home (the video is still compiling as of a few minutes ago but will be live by tomorrow morning)
- A digital Connect Card where you can easily check in and share any prayer requests,
- An At Home Worship Guide to use with the video or a standalone devotional.
- Also included are reflection/discussion questions as well as some craft ideas for kids.

Please stay safe and warm.

Written 1/22/2026:
Dear Church,
We have been watching the weather closely and are expecting extreme cold and more than likely unsafe conditions this weekend. In consultation with various leaders and groups we have decided to go ahead and cancel 9AM Worship and Sunday School.
On Saturday, we will send out an email with a prerecorded worship service link and to let people know if we are going to have a small version of 11AM either with musicians or to watch the prerecorded service (we will not have nursery staff or children’s church available). Included in Saturday’s email will be an “At Home Worship Guide” that can be used with or without the recording. Please check your email, this page, or our Facebook page before coming on Sunday for 11AM to see if it is happening. Please stay safe and DO NOT come to the church if there is ice or unsafe conditions.
On January 25, 2026
- NO WORSHIP AT 9AM
- NO ADULT OR CHILDREN SUNDAY SCHOOL, CHILDREN’S CHURCH, OR NURSERY
- To be clear: If you are currently signed up to help with worship or Sunday morning in any way we are not expecting you to show up for that role.
- Check email/socials on Saturday night for the possibility of a small gathering at 11AM in the FLC and whether or not there will be Sunday evening youth group.
Warming Shelter
We are in conversation with Hays County Office of Emergency Services and are on call to be an additional warming shelter on Sunday afternoon if there is a need (for instance if there were extensive power outages for 8+ hours in the area). If you or someone you know is in need of shelter, Southside Community Center in San Marcos(a United Women in Faith ministry) is currently planning to open their shelter from 7 pm Friday through 9 am Monday, (with likely openings during the nights only throughout next week).
